One of my friends, Sara Langdon, is a talented artist. She has a gift for capturing the beauty of New Zealand landscapes. Her Auckland landscape series are a perfect example, portraying familiar vistas of Auckland on serene summer days with skies of a soft blue hue. And on days when the sky is the same clear blue, I often find myself thinking, this is a Sara Langdon sky.
Her art is a perfect echo of the Auckland volcanoes and the summer sky. Reflecting the reality of what I see around me.
Today the sky was a Sara Langdon sky. As I admired the clear blue sky above me, I pondered how often do I pause to attribute the day to the Lord? Each day do I see His hand in the world around me? Just as Sara’s art mirrors reality, God’s creation reveals His presence.
Every day holds a reminder of God’s love and creativity. That is something to be glad in!
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it
Psalm 118:24
