Remember when…

What are the stories, the testimonies of your life, that when you retell them, you feel your own faith rising. That in the retelling of them you once again touch heaven?

Your spirit is stirred as your mind remembers what the Lord has done.

In Psalm 77:11 the psalmist declares, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.”

Recalling God’s past answers to prayers and miracles stirs our hope, faith and strengthens us for today’s challenges. It grounds us in God’s unchanging goodness.

And it’s not only the big miracle that stirs our faith. It’s more often remembering those little blessings, breakthroughs and answers to prayer, the knowing that God heard you. The times when you knew that He saw you and was there with you.

When we remember what He has done for us, we can trust Him with our future.

“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Psalm 103:2
“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:21-23

Such joy, such heavenly perspective when we remember…
