Sunlight

There’s something refreshing about a clear winter’s day after days of grey skies and rain. The sun cuts through the cold, and even just a few minutes outside can lift your mood. Science backs it—sunlight boosts serotonin, supports sleep, and helps your body function better. It’s a simple, natural reset.

Just a few minutes in the sun can change how we feel—clearing mental fog, calming anxiety, restoring perspective. It’s as if creation itself was designed to remind us that light, even in small doses, brings life.

And it’s the same with God. The more we seek Him, the more we feel our soul realign. We become grounded. We gain clarity. And we begin to crave His light as much as we do the sun’s.

The psalmist wrote, “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalm 34:5).

Like turning our faces to the sun, turning our hearts toward God brings light into our lives.

So today, step into the sunlight if you can. Let it warm your skin and lift your spirit. And as you do, take a moment to turn toward the One who made that light. Bask in His presence. Let His love break through.

Light matters.
