In this season of Advent, in the waiting, God is here with us. He promises us His
In Romans 15:13, Paul writes to a longing, fractured church – a people struggling to hold their hope. And he says:
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him..."
He writes this to a church when they are in the waiting. Not when everything is okay or the breakthrough has already arrived, God’s peace
And for us too, as we trust. In the fog. In the quiet. In the still-unanswered prayers – God’s peace is found.
He meets us when there is grief in our hope or disappointment in our faith.
Advent has us linger in the tension of waiting. In the ache, in the silence, in the not-yet…In staying in the story long enough to watch God redeem it.
And we see He is Emmanuel.
God with us.
