Easter Saturday is the quiet day. It’s the day after the report, after the diagnosis. After the prayer. After the hope that something would change.
But nothing has changed.
It is the space where we feel suspended, stuck. Not where we were, but not yet where we believe we will be. The miracle has not come. The answer has not arrived. The pain still sits where it did yesterday.
This is the day of in between.
The disciples knew this day. Jesus had died. The promises felt distant. Faith had been real… but the outcome was not what they expected. Heaven was silent.
Sometimes our lives have Easter Saturdays.
And we are left waiting… unsure what comes next.
No resurrection yet.
But Easter Saturday reminds us that silence is not absence. Waiting is not the end of the story. What feels unfinished is often where God is still working.
We may feel stuck, but we are not abandoned.
We may feel suspended, but we are still held.
We may not yet see change… but resurrection is coming.
Trusting that even here, in the in between… God is present and Sunday is coming.
