Sometimes staring down the road to the future can fill you with trepidation. As we watch world history playing out, as we ourselves face certain challenges, fear can grip us, terrify us and seek to overcome us.
To fear it seems is part of our human nature, an unavoidable reaction or response. Yet God reminds us, urges us to not fear. “Fear not”, “Don’t be afraid” is a theme we see weaved throughout the Bible. A thread for us to pull into our own lives.
For fear does not need to dominate our lives. Living under fear of the future burdens us unnecessarily. It does not have to be the response to our worries or concerns of our future. We can replace fear with faith. Replace fear of the unknown to faith in the known God.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Such an encouraging word xx
