Covid-19 has changed our world. Everything that seemed stable, secure has been shaken almost overnight. Normal life changed almost overnight. Even our simple tasks of buying groceries and daily routines are different. And all the scaffolding that we have around our lives have been shaken if not fallen away. From close proximity to family and friends, to employment and finances., our confidence. All shaken. Nothing can be taken for granted. And while the stringent Lockdown will lift soon, our world is different and changed.
But we have a God that we can trust. He is sovereign and worthy of our trust. Who tells us to give Him all our worries and concerns because He cares for us. He is our source for whatever we need for today and for tomorrow. He remains our solid foundation. What is true and dependable and secure is that God is who He says He is. Forever, unchanging. Always the same. He is true to His name. And He is in control.
He is our Provider.
He is our Healer.
He is our confidence.
He is peace.
He is the MIRACLE.
And we can lean on His name and who He says He is.
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name
On Christ the solid rock I stand
Then I called upon the name of the LORD: “O LORD, I implore You, deliver my soul!” Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. (Psalm 116:4-5)
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
