As the days have become cooler, I have found myself chasing the sun in my home for the warmest spots to work. Nothing quite like sitting in a comfy chair with the sun streaming in and a hot cup of coffee at hand (of course!) to work. Not so shabby this working from home gig. The light of the sun providing warmth to the soul as well as the body.
In life we can find ourselves so quickly in the shadows, feeling the cold. As we rush from task to task and get caught up in the busyness of life. Too long in this state brings a weariness, a chilliness to our spirit. It’s time for us to draw closer to God, to be in His presence. It says in Habakkuk 3:4 that His radiance is the sunlight.
In His presence, that’s the warmest, loveliest, most precious place to be.
“Keep yourselves in the love of God” (Jude 21)
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
