Shifting

And we’re back in Lockdown. Abruptly. Without warning. Covid Alerts going on phones, live updates, supermarket queues. Plans, appointments are derailed, again. The Dining room table becomes an office desk. And once again the life we rely on changes.

In amongst this I have enrolment forms for the 2021 school year to complete, zoom speech therapy sessions so we keep up the momentum for Oscar. Future plans staying in place, despite the shifting sands beneath our feet.

I am reminded that our hope, our lives, our future can only be secured in Jesus. It is in Him that we can trust. Unwaveringly and unshakably.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

When darkness hides His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil (Yes it does)

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

Trust in You and only You

Jesus is our solid rock. And in these shifting, unstable times, He is unchanging, secure.
