It is probably no surprise that the inspiration for this blog entry comes from a Wiggles song. With a 2 year old who is absolutely devoted to all things Wiggles my days always include Wiggles music. Not surprisingly the tunes and the lyrics then tend to get stuck in my head. Yesterday it was the Propeller, today though it was “I’ve got my glasses on” with lyrics “I can see clearly now, I’ve got my glasses on!”
The day included a visit to a appliance store that had my 2 year old and I experimenting with a 3D Television. We had a great time putting on the special glasses and watching what was on the screen already come to life. My son was even trying to grab at things that seemed to come flying out of the screen.
Combine the theme song with my 3D Television experience and it’s no wonder I’m thinking vision. Seeing clearly in life is putting on our “God glasses”. It means that we see life from Heaven’s perspective. Putting our “God glasses” on is when we set our minds on Heaven and not on earth. We can live in the reality of Heaven, with a perspective that is God given and breathed.
Rick Joyner once wrote ““We should not let our hearts and minds be controlled by the conditions on earth, but by the conditions
in heaven so that we can bring heaven’s answers into any condition on earth.”
It’s not about the facts. God is above the facts. Facts may state things about your health, work situation, relationships. BUT God, from Heaven sees above and beyond your situation.
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
(Psalm 121)
